Based on the book by Baptist Pastor Chris Whaley, The Masked Saint tells the story of the journey of a professional wrestler who becomes a small town pastor and moonlights as a masked vigilante fighting injustice. While facing crises at home and at the church, the Pastor must evade the police and somehow reconcile his violent secret identity with his calling as a pastor.
Lara Jean stars as Chris'(Brett Granstaff) wife Michelle, while screen icon Diahann Caroll stars as Miss Edna, the parishioner who aids Chris in his journey to discovering his true calling. The film, also featuring, Rowdy Roddy Piper, TJ McGibbon, and Canadian funnyman Patrick McKenna, premiered as the closing night Gala at Cinefest Sudbury, won Best Picture at the International Christian Film Festival, and was be released to select theatres in Canada and the US in January 2016.
